Making Our Communities A Better Place For Everyone

Selling homes in Northern Virginia has been a fulfilling and worthwhile career choice for Karen Parker who has grown up in the region for most of her life. She understands the needs of the communities where she works from interacting with all types of people as she strives to make Northern Virginia the greatest place to live in America.

One of Karen’s lifelong passions has been to give back to the communities that she loves so much. She dedicates the proceeds of every home she sales to two of her favorite charities: Lost Dog Rescue and Wounded Warriors.

The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue is a non-profit organization that rescues lost and homeless animals from shelters who face euthanasia. Once the animals are safely in the care of the rescue workers, they are put up for adoption on forever homes.

Raising animals is a passion for Karen. She has to be the biggest pet fan in the region, as she currently has two dogs, two parakeets and a multitude of fish that she has made a part of her family. Donating to such a charity allows other homeless and lost pets to also find their human companions who will love and care for them for the rest of their lives.

Wounded Warrior

Wounded Warrior is a military/veteran charity organization helping injured service members and their families. They provide a host of programs and services that help aid and assist the injured military as they can lead happy and healthy lives despite the physical and mental injuries they incurred during their service to our country.

Karen works throughout the Washington D.C. area providing homes to individuals and families. She meets plenty of military personnel in her daily lifestyle, and has come to understand the need for such charities like Wounded Warrior that can help these service members overcome their injuries and have a chance to find a meaningful and fulfilling life beyond their lasting wounds. These military personnel do so much to protect and serve our country, even putting their lives in the line of fire, to uphold the freedoms and rights of people all over the world. Karen wants to give what she can back to these military men and women for their years of dedicated service.

For the last few years, Karen has donated what she can to the above charities. She hopes to make the communities throughout Northern Virginia and the Washington D.C. metro area a better place for everyone.
